Bio

Mrs. Howard’s housing experience spans over 37 years, beginning in 1986 with Florida’s Department of Community Affairs, where she administered programs designed to encourage reinvestment into neighborhoods in or near central business districts. She also served as Chief Development Officer with the Florida Housing Finance Corporation where she gained firsthand knowledge of all Florida housing programs and incentives, and has worked hand-in-hand with first-time developers, nonprofits, and local governments to help them understand the intricacies of these complex financing and incentive programs.

Mrs. Howard served on the City of Tallahassee’s Planning Commission, and for over eight years she served as a commissioner on the Governor’s Affordable Housing Study Commission representing the general interests of the citizens of Florida. Mrs. Howard served two terms as Chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council. Mrs. Howard‘s work with various Housing Agencies enabled her to help shape local, state, and regional affordable housing policies.
