Housing Finance Authority partners with St. Johns County to provide funding for 132-unit affordable rental housing

In March 2021, the Housing Finance Authority partnered with St. Johns County to provide funding for San Marcos Heights, a new construction multifamily development located at 127 Adair Road, St. Augustine, FL.  SHAG and Archway Partners are the developers of San Marcos Heights.    The property will bring 132 units of affordable and workforce housing to St. Johns County.  The units are available to households earning at or below 60% AMI.   The Housing Finance Authority issued Multifamily Mortgage Revenue Bonds as the first mortgage and St. Johns County utilized CDBG Disaster Recovery Funds that were received from HUD in 2019 as the second mortgage.

The HFA is proud of the public-private partnership that included the HFA, St. Johns County, SHAG Development, Inc., Archway Partners Nonprofit, Florida Housing Finance Corporation and others.
